Editorial

Welcome to the Enterprising Matters 2010 Conference Special. We hope this edition will be of interest both to delegates and those who couldn't join us for this year's event. The Award winning papers published in their entirety should certainly provide something for everything. We also have an overview of the event by the Conference Chairs, pieces from the perspective of a first time delegate and an international delegate as well as a message from the ISBE President and other ISBE news.

It's certainly been another busy year for ISBE with a conference in the capital, a number of regional workshops, the second round of RAKE funding awarded to four exciting new projects around Entrepreneurship, Regeneration and Recovery, the formation of the Enterprise Alliance in partnership with EEUK and NACUE and launched at the Houses of Parliament earlier this year and the creation of the ISBE book series and publication of volume one to name just some of what's been happening in 2010.

ISBE also welcomed six new board members: Shima Barakat- University of Cambridge, Richard Blundel- Open University Business School, Nigel Culkin -Centre Innovation & Enterprise, University of Hertfordshire, Hushpreet Dhaliwal- National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs, Peter Harman- UK Business Incubation and Paul Jones- University of Glamorgan Business School. The Institute was delighted to re-instate David Rae and Robert Smith who were re-elected for a second term.

There are plenty of new activities lined up for 2011 which we're sure you'll enjoy and we look forward to working with you over the coming year. So for now on behalf of ISBE I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope you all have a relaxing break.

Chris
