Professor Gerard McElwee


Gerard is currently Professor of Entrepreneurship. He joined the Nottingham Trent University from the University of Lincoln in March 2010.

Gerard is the founding editor of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Gerard is involved with a number of projects related to rural entrepreneurship. He has published over 60 articles on entrepreneurship and rural enterprise in a number of international journals including: Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research. Journal of Small Business Management, Local Economy, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing.

Gerard's main teaching interests are in entrepreneurship and main research interests are entrepreneurship, illegal enterprise, rural enterprise and village sustainability.
