Dr Maura McAdam


Dr Maura McAdam (BA, MSc, PhD) is a Lecturer in Management at Queen’s University Belfast. Her research explores three complementary themes; female entrepreneurship, high technology based enterprises and support mechanisms such as incubators and science parks. In particular, she is interested in the intersection of these domains, namely the growth patterns of female owned high technology firms and the role of incubators in supporting growth.Maura is passionate about entrepreneurship and is actively involved in equipping both undergraduate and postgraduate students with enterprise skills for life. As an avid supporter of research-led teaching Maura have driven a number of action based learning initiatives within Queen’s University. Maura has published in several international papers in the field of entrepreneurship and has a broad practical foundation from her work in industry prior to entering academia.
