Building upon the success and popularity of the ISBE ‘Meet the Editors' workshops in Liverpool and Leeds, there will be a further opportunity for those seeking to develop their work for publication to meet leading journal editors and reviewers just prior to the annual conference (November 3rd and 4th) on Tuesday, November 2nd. This will be a two hour workshop commencing at 16.00 to be held at the Hotel Russell faciliatated by Professor Susan Marlow FRSA, Editor: International Small Business Journal, VP: Research - ISBE.

From previous experience, we have found that an interactive discursive format is most beneficial to presenters and delegates to create the opportunity for discussion and debate. Accordingly this workshop will commence with short presentations by experienced editors and reviewers but will then move to break out sessions where separate groups of approximately eight delegates can work with an editor or senior reviewer to discuss critical issues around conceptual development, methodological issues, data analysis and of course, how to answer the dreaded ‘so what' question within their work. Thus, the workshop will facilitate and encourage open dialogue, enable problem sharing discussions, offer opportunities to share both positive and negative experiences of researching, writing, revising and publishing.

Delegates are not required to bring a formal discussion document to the workshop but should be prepared to introduce and/or enter into dialogue regarding publication issues. Attendance at the workshop will be by registration only with a marginal cost of £50.00 but numbers will be limited to enable an interactive format. To book a place you must register for the conference and select this event as part of your booking.
