Dr Richard Blundel


Richard is based at the Open University, where he is a member of the Innovation, Knowledge and Enterprise (IKE) and Public Leadership and Social Enterprise PuLSE) research units. His research is in organisation studies, with a particular focus on entrepreneurial networks, growth processes, technological innovation and the role of entrepreneurial agency in sustainability transitions. His work has been published in a number of journals, including Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, Industry & Innovation, Enterprise & Society, and Management & Organisational History.  Current projects  include: a Defra Greener Living Fund project, ‘Climate Solidarity’, working with four trades unions on pro-environmental behaviour change, an employability and entrepreneurial skills project with partners in Ghanaian universities, and a new co-authored book on social and commercial entrepreneurship.
