Dr Shima Barakat


Shima is responsible for taught programmes and research at the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning of the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. She obtained her PhD in the area of Strategy and the Environment and her research interests currently lie in the areas of education impact, gender and ethnicity influences in entrepreneurship and sustainability issues in business.

Shima has advised numerous organisations on startup and development issues and founded a small company in the UK in 2006 for the express purpose of carrying out responsible management research and consultancy for universities, foreign aid organizations and businesses. Shima is also the founder of two social enterprises in the US and Egypt.
