Colette Henry

Colette Henry, BA (Hons); MBA; PhD, is Norbrook Professor of Business & Enterprise, The Royal Veterinary College, London. Having recently moved from her previous role as Head of Department of Business Studies at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) and Director of the Institute’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Research. Colette is also the current ISBE President.

Prior to embarking on her academic career, Colette held sales and marketing roles in industry and subsequently worked in DkIT’s incubation Centre, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs; designing and developing enterprise programmes; managing EU projects and co-ordinating customised training programmes for industry.

Colette’s research interests are in the field of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, particularly entrepreneurship education and training programmes; enterprise policy; women entrepreneurs and the creative industries. Colette has published several international papers in the field of entrepreneurship, and has authored and edited a number of books with Ashgate, Routledge and Edward Elgar. She is also the founding editor of a new Emerald journal – the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship which was launched in 2008.
