In 2022 ISBE member Adrian Ashton self-published his first book which tested the common assumptions most people hold about ‘imposter syndrome’. Titled ‘Loving your doubt‘, and despite it not including an index (a staple of all non-fiction books such as this one) it went on to win an award and become a global best seller.
Adrian has now returned to this original book to create ‘the missing index’, and is offering a free ‘print and stick’ set of pages that readers can add to their existing copies.
“Although unusual, this approach seemed to be the most equitable way of helping to make sure that people who have already purchased a copy don’t have to ‘pay again’“, explained Adrian in clarifying this unique approach to updating manuscripts of books that are already in print. “But unlike most business book indexes, people may be surprised by some of the entries and references in it…”.
Based on the outcomes that this first book created, Adrian is currently working on a sequel volume that explores further aspects of the imposter syndrome phenomenon and which will have an index when it goes to print.
