This two-day Scoping Research Workshop brings together scholars interested in developing theories, methods and practices that engage with futures yet to be realised. Building on emerging conversations in prospective theorizing, design science and future-oriented inquiry, the workshop invites participants to explore how research can help imagine and shape desirable futures. Sessions will examine concepts such as speculative rigor, future making, design-driven theorizing and constructive epistemologies, highlighting how these ideas contribute to scholarly engagement with grand societal challenges. The workshop aims to build a community of future-oriented researchers, stimulate methodological innovation and co-create a shared research agenda.
