ISBE is delighted to announce the appointment of two new Co-Chairs for the ISBE Social and Sustainable Enterprise (SSE) Special Interest Group (SIG) for a three-year term, commencing 1 September 2026.
Please join us in congratulating Dr Zeineb Djebali, Associate Professor -Entrepreneurship, University of Liverpool Management School, and Dr Susann Power, Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality at Ulster University Business School, on their appointments.
We look forward to working with Zeineb and Susann as they take over the leadership of the SSE SIG, fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and supporting excellence in social and sustainable enterprise research, policy and practice.

Dr Zeineb Djebali, Associate Professor – Entrepreneurship, University of Liverpool Management
Dr Zeineb Djebali is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of Liverpool Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship. Her interest in entrepreneurship stems from both her PhD where she examined the social entrepreneurial intentions of those in ‘later working life’, together with her practical experience as an ‘entrepreneur’ founding businesses both in the UK and overseas. Her research interests include entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship and small firms, looking at the interplay between the people involved (i.e. founders/entrepreneurs) and their environments. Most of her research uses qualitative approaches, which often involves being immersed with founders/entrepreneurs to examine their entrepreneurial reality and motivation for starting a business. Dr Susann Power, Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality, Ulster University Business School
Dr Susann Power is a Senior Lecturer at Ulster University Business School, where she also leads the Faculty’s Societal Impact and Engagement Standard. Her research interests combine sustainability, business ethics and entrepreneurship. Her research has been funded by the ERSC (£4.9m EPIC Futures NI) and the AHRC (£7.9m Future Island-Island). She is a co-investigator and work package lead on both research projects focussing on behavioural insights and circular waste materials. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Authority with a track record in Education for Sustainable Development and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on business and tourism sustainability. Dr Power is the Chair of the Tourism & Hospitality Research Ireland Conference (THRIC) and leads their Entrepreneurship & Innovation SIG. She has obtained a PhD in Tourism from the University of Surrey after completing an MSc in Tourism, Environment and Development at King’s College London.
