Call for business participants:

“How can I improve my business’ sales?”
“How can I make the most of social media to grow my business?”
“How do I launch a new product?”
“How can I build my team without losing its focus?”
“How can I find sources of funding?”
“How can I make my business more efficient?”

These are just some of the questions you will face as an entrepreneur, alongside the daily challenges of keeping your business on course. Would you benefit from a third-party business consultant with an up-to-the-minute business education to look at these challenges with a fresh set of eyes and contemporary perspectives?

King’s Business School is committed to supporting local businesses and is collaborating to offer up to ten enterprises in the Westminster/Lambeth area the opportunity to receive business consultancy from ambitious and skilled King’s Business School students, free of charge. They can offer support on a range of business topics, including:

  • recruitment & HR
  • marketing & social media
  • financial analysis
  • strategy & business planning
  • data analysis

If you’re interested in this opportunity, completethe online expression of interest form whichoutlines your business and the question(s) which you would like to explore. The form should be submitted by Monday 14 October 23:59 UK time.

If your proposal is accepted, you will be contacted by the King’s Business School Project Team who will partner your business with a student group of three/four. The students taking part in the programme will be final year BSc students studying a business/management degree at King’s Business School (Business Management, Economics & Management, International Management, or Language and Management). To support their work, students will be taught by Catherine Tilley, a member of academic staff with extensive consultancy experience, having worked at McKinsey & Company for several years. Catherine was Director of Practice Operations at McKinsey for 10 years where she was responsible for the running of McKinsey’s work in the field of organisational consulting.

The consultancy will commence in late October 2019 and culminate at the end of the November (approx. 4 weeks). During this time the student groups will meet with their assigned businesses to discuss challenges, agree objectives and work towards them. At the consultancy period’s culmination student groups will provide their final analysis and recommendations in the form of a presentation and accompanying written report which your business can use to achieve its goals going forward.
