More entrepreneurial learning support for schools in Wales

Two new Curriculum support resources for ‘Enterprising Creative Contributors’ have been developed by Welsh School Teachers.

Both are available online at Welsh Government’s Education Wales Hwb:

Entrepreneurial learning: guide for teachers on how to bring entrepreneurial learning into the classroom.

Our Enterprise Journey

These two new national Guides have been developed to be used from ages 3 to 16 and utilise a range of learning experiences to ensure authentic entrepreneurial opportunities. These can be used as one-off topics, themes, or schemes. Both align with the Welsh Curriculum’s ‘purpose’ of developing Enterprising Creative Contributors as part of the national curriculum. They also align to the curriculum’s Skills Integral to the Four Purposes, which is based on learner developed value creation. Funded by Welsh Government through its Careers Wales, the resources were developed by schoolteachers who represented different regions, in collaboration with Prof. Emeritus Andy Penaluna.

Entrepreneurial learning: guide for teachers on how to bring entrepreneurial learning into the classroom.

This resource offers a clear structure that teachers can use to help deliver bespoke learning opportunities.

Our enterprise journey

Learning practitioners can use this learning journey to help deliver bespoke opportunities, using a map approach. The learning journey ensures that authentic entrepreneurial experiences lead to meaningful and relevant reflection on achievements.
