The ISBE RMPI Track is delighted to host the RMPI “Editors’ Speaker Series” 2026 – a three‑session programme designed to open up the craft, challenges, and possibilities of writing strong methodological papers. Across March, five internationally respected Editors‑in‑Chief and Associate Editors will share insider perspectives on methodological innovation, scholarly voice, and what makes methodological writing rich, alive and publishable! This series will be especially valuable for ECRs and doctoral researchers who are developing methodological outputs from their PhDs, as well as for established scholars seeking to bring a clearer methodological contribution to their work. Each session will offer practical insight into how editors evaluate methods papers, where submissions often fall short, and how researchers can communicate methodological rigour, creativity, and impact.
Session dates:
• Friday 13 March, 09:00 GMT – Prof Mark Vicars (Qualitative Research Journal)
• Wednesday 18 March, 14:00 GMT – Prof Linda Liebenberg and Prof Elaine Keane (International Journal of Qualitative Methods)
• Tuesday 24 March, 09:00 GMT – Prof Tine Köhler & Prof Catherine Welch (Organizational Research Methods).
These conversations aim to strengthen methodological confidence across the ISBE community and encourage attendees to develop their ideas further through submissions to the ISBE RMPI Track – see ISBE 2026: RESEARCH METHODS, PRACTICE AND INQUIRY/IMPACT (RMPI) – ISBE
