Dr. Trudie Murray is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Economics at Munster Technological University (MTU), Cork, Ireland, and an Academic Researcher with The Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence, where she collaborates on national, EU, and international projects. Actively involved in the design and delivery of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise modules across multiple programmes, she also serves on MTU’s Academic Council. In 2023, Trudie became the first Irish academic to receive the prestigious Enterprise Educators Fellowship, further highlighting her commitment to advancing entrepreneurial education. She also currently serves as co-chair of the ISBE Early Career Researcher Forum, supporting emerging scholars. As Research Chair for the Department of Management & Enterprise, Trudie has led initiatives supporting early career researchers (ECRs) and PhD candidates, establishing a dedicated learning community and organising research events aimed at fostering academic development and collaboration. As a constructivist grounded theorist, Trudie’s research is driven by a deep interest in exploring individuals’ experiences and perspectives, often employing creative methods of inquiry to bring new insights to her work. Her research and publications focus on entrepreneurship education, with a particular interest in fostering entrepreneurial thinking at the preschool level. Trudie is also dedicated to advancing professional development for entrepreneurship and enterprise educators. Her broader research interests include inclusive entrepreneurship, specifically youth and prisoner entrepreneurship, as well as initiatives supporting freelancers.
