Professor Paul Jones is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Head of the School of Management at Swansea University. Paul previously held academic posts at Coventry University, Plymouth University and the University of South Wales. He is an experienced academic with a long record of service to our community.
He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of ISBE’s in-house journal, the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research, a role he has held for many years. Additionally, Paul serves as Senior Editor with Information Technology and People and Associate Editor for the International Journal of Management Education. He is also Editor of ISBE’s Emerald Book Series Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship Research. Paul’s strong commitment to developing the next generation of entrepreneurship and small business academic researchers is also evident through his longstanding organisation and management of the ISBE doctoral day. Paul has made a significant contribution to the entrepreneurship and small business research community and research base.
Paul is an exemplar of ISBE’s values – he is strongly embedded in the ISBE and E&SB community, serving as a Board member and editor of ISBE’s journal and running the doctoral day for a period of (I suspect) over ten years now. Paul is always looking forward offering valuable suggestions to ensure that ISBE maintains its position by staying relevant. He is ethical and fair in his dealings, upholding high standards of research integrity and ethics in the journal in the face of AI.
Paul is embedded in the entrepreneurship and small business community internationally and serves as an ambassador for ISBE, as well as Swansea University, when attending HEIs to serve as external examiner or sit on recruitment panels. This activity supports good attendance rates at our annual Doctoral days.
